Review: LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special

I normally try to keep this site on brand and avoid veering off-topic but the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special does have a scene that’s at least partially inspired by Attack of the Clones and AOTC Obi-Wan is among its sizable cast of characters so… whatever. The holiday season is almost upon us and this Disney+ exclusive was just what I needed to lift my spirits this month. And you should watch it too. Here’s why! It’s been 42 years since the infamous Star Wars Holiday ... [Continue Reading]

Building Dexter Jettster

It’s been almost twenty years since his on-screen debut but the merchandise gods have failed to bless us with a Dexter Jettster plush doll. One devoted Star Wars fan decided to take matters into their own hands, to fill in that very specific void in their life, and spent the last few months researching, designing, and building their very own huggable Besalisk. I caught up with Dexter Jettster super-fan Abigail James Dillon to learn more about their DIY project and how they went about ... [Continue Reading]

The beautifully-animated microseries Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures made its long-awaited return on October 28 with an emotional tribute to beloved fan favourite and legendary Jedi master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Looking out onto the dramatic Tatooine landscape as the twin suns rise above the horizon, old “Ben” Kenobi reminisces about days gone by: His epic duels against Maul and General Grievous, his time fighting alongside the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic on Geonosis, ... Attack of the Clones 30-Day Word Association Challenge

Following the success of September’s 30-Day Attack of the Clones Challenge, I decided it would be fun to run another 30-day challenge to honour my favourite Star Wars film. November just so happens to be another 30-day month… and my birthday month to boot! This time around, the challenge will be in the form of a word association game. Starting November 1st, I will tweet out daily prompts on @AllThingsAOTC and participants will be asked to say the first thing that comes to mind when ... [Continue Reading]

Hot Toys Announces Jango Fett Collectible Figure

Jango Fett may have been just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe but the fan-favourite bounty hunter will soon be immortalised as a 1/6th collectible figure. The wily gun-slinger is the latest addition to Hot Toys’ Star Wars collectible series and he’s scheduled to land in our galaxy in early 2022, just in time for the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones.   As you can see, the figure bears a striking resemblance to actor Temuera Morrison, whose face has ... Alex Grey’s ‘Ponchos of Star Wars’ Project

From the simple beige-and-brown sleeveless number worn by Luke Skywalker in A New Hope to the vibrant pink and orange garments of the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the denizens of that galaxy far, far away appreciate a good poncho when they see one. I was browsing the #AttackOfTheClones hashtag on Instagram one afternoon when I stumbled upon Alex Grey’s art project, The Ponchos of Star Wars, and immediately fell in love with his art style. Alex is the lead illustrator for Blue ... [Continue Reading]

The Zodiac Signs as ‘Attack of the Clones’ Characters

Ever wondered which Attack of the Clones character would share your star sign? Not being much of an astrologer myself, I enlisted the help and expertise of a dear Twitter friend, Rae Mueller, and asked her to assign a character to each sign of the zodiac. This list was originally published as a Twitter thread back in September but I decided to adapt it (and expand on it) for this site. Remember, this is all just for fun and open to interpretation, so please keep aggressive negotiations to a ... [Continue Reading]

Review: Attack of the Clones (Little Golden Book)

A couple of months ago, I made the decision to expand my near nonexistent collection of Attack of the Clones merchandise ahead of the film’s 20th anniversary, so I treated myself to a copy of Little Golden Book’s adaptation of my favourite chapter in the Skywalker saga. So, you may be wondering “Would it be a worthy addition to my collection?” or  “Is it something my younglings would enjoy?” Let’s dive in. Writer Christopher Nicholas has done a ... Attack of the Clones 30 Days Challenge

On September 1st, 2020, I will be launching a 30-day Twitter challenge to celebrate one of the most underappreciated entries in the Skywalker saga, Attack of the Clones. If you’ve been following me over on Twitter, you’ll know that the film holds a very special place in my heart and is my personal favourite of the nine saga films, warts and all. We’re fast approaching the twentieth anniversary of this underrated classic, so it’s time to start thinking of fun ways to pay ... [Continue Reading]
