The Zodiac Signs as ‘Attack of the Clones’ Characters

Find out which 'Attack of the Clones' character shares your star sign with this handy guide!

Ever wondered which Attack of the Clones character would share your star sign? Not being much of an astrologer myself, I enlisted the help and expertise of a dear Twitter friend, Rae Mueller, and asked her to assign a character to each sign of the zodiac. This list was originally published as a Twitter thread back in September but I decided to adapt it (and expand on it) for this site.

Remember, this is all just for fun and open to interpretation, so please keep aggressive negotiations to a bare minimum. 😉

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Aries has a reputation for being ambitious and extremely driven and people born under this sign are often natural-born leaders. Everything a career politician like Sheev Palpatine needs to succeed on the political battlefield. They can be enthusiastic, charismatic people but don’t be fooled; they also have a dark side. Cross an Aries and you’ll soon be at the receiving end of their fiery tempers! However, their reckless nature and arrogance are often their undoing, so use this to your advantage.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Bulls may be viewed as stubborn, brash creatures but Taureans are known for being reliable, tenacious, hardworking, and deeply supportive of their loved ones. Family is extremely important to them and they often crave the finer things in life, whether it’s for themselves or for their children. Much like Shmi Skywalker, who put her son’s happiness and future ahead of her own needs.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

The party animals of the zodiac, Gemini folk are known for their quick wit and versatility and are naturally inquisitive. They can be restless to a fault and prone to changing their minds at the drop of a hat (Order 66, anyone?) but they also cherish friendship and brotherhood. Not all of these traits apply to Jango Fett or his clone son, Boba, but if there’s one quality the Grand Army of the Republic possesses in abundance, it’s a deep sense of fraternity.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Like Threepio, Cancerians prefer to avoid confrontation, are overly cautious, and can be, well, a little crabby at times. But it’s not all bad. They may be a tad anxious and overprotective of their loved ones but they are also fiercely loyal and will follow their friends into the hellish foundries of Geonosis if they have to. Just make sure to let them know when they’ve crossed any uncomfortable personal boundaries.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Regal, assertive, and able to charm the ears off a Gungan, Leos are born leaders with an impeccable sense of style and a flair for the dramatic, much like the enigmatic Count of Serenno. They love to mingle and enjoy all the luxuries life has to offer. But they can be exceedingly arrogant and pride always comes before a fall, a lesson Dooku would eventually learn the hard way.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Kind, altruistic, practical, and observant, Virgos have a lot in common with the former Queen of Naboo. Like Padmé Amidala, they are diligent workers who often hold themselves (and others) to impossibly high standards, so much so that they may find it difficult to relax and just be themselves. Their selfless desire to help others and see the best in people can change the course of people’s lives but it can also have tragic consequences. Sometimes there are things no one can fix.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Librans are the intellectuals and peacekeepers of the zodiac. They seek harmony and crave order, are diplomatic by nature, and when all else fails, they rely on their dazzling charm and wit to get themselves out of a sticky situation. All of these vital skills for someone like Obi-Wan “The Negotiator” Kenobi. Librans are fair, outgoing, and love to socialise but they can also seem detached, non-confrontational, and too eager to please others, which means they might not address a problem before it spirals out of control.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Perhaps the most misunderstood of the zodiac signs, Scorpios are people of extremes, not unlike a certain Anakin Skywalker. At their very best, they are passionate, fiercely loyal to the ones they love, determined, and surprisingly compassionate. They value honesty, crave intimacy, and are extremely sensitive people, even if they tend to hide their true feelings beneath a prickly exterior. But beware the scorpion’s sting. Scorpios can also be manipulative, distrusting, too secretive for their own good, painfully stubborn, possessive, and violently competitive. Their egos can be their downfall… and they’ll probably take the entire galaxy down with them in the process.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Sagittarians are adventurous spirits, fuelled by wanderlust and an insatiable curiosity about the world (or worlds) around them. They can adapt to any new situation, are expert conversationalists, and are undoubtedly the greatest storytellers this side of the Rishi Maze. Are we describing Sagittarians or are we just fawning over our beloved Besalisk, Dexter Jettster? It’s hard to say. Like Dex, those born under Sagittarius can be a little brusque and impatient, are brutally honest, and need to take care not to come off as pretentious.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Capricorns and Jedi Master Mace Windu have a lot in common. They possess an unwavering focus, are pragmatic and disciplined, are proactive, and have a reputation for being workaholics. On the flip side, they often hold others to ridiculously high standards and can come off as cold and stoic. But their hearts are in the right place and they have a mischievous side that few will ever get to see.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Those born under Aquarius can be a little eccentric and offbeat but don’t be fooled by their goofy exteriors. Aquarians are highly idealistic, humanitarian to the core, and are big thinkers. They need plenty of space to reflect on the nature of life and are excellent problem-solvers. Like Grand Master Yoda, they have a rebellious streak but they can sometimes get trapped inside their own heads and seem aloof and uncompromising to those who may need their help.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

And, finally, Pisces. Those born under this sign are very likable, loyal, empathetic to people’s needs and emotions, and will often put others first, no matter what. Like Artoo, they are highly adaptable and in tune with the world around them but processing all these emotions can leave them feeling scatter-brained, moody, and prone to bouts of melancholy. They can get overwhelmed and will respond by shutting down completely. Cranky dispositions aside, if you have a Pisces as a friend, the odds will always be in your favour.
