For Younger Fans

Attack of the Clones (Little Golden Books) – Adapted by Christopher Nicholas and featuring gorgeous art from Ethan Beavers, this Little Golden Book adaptation is a great way to introduce younglings to the film and its characters, especially if they are still too young to watch a two-hour film (read my review here). The book can be purchased via Amazon and Amazon UK.

The Complete Skywalker Saga (Little Golden Books Library) – Let your younglings take their first steps into a larger world with the complete collection of Skywalker Saga Little Golden Book adaptations. All nine films have been masterfully adapted for a very young readership and each book features the same stunning retro-style art that the Little Golden Book series is renowned for. You can order this collectible box set over on Amazon or Amazon UK.

Star Wars: Creatures Big & Small Our favourite critters from Attack of the Clones – the reek, acklay, and nexu – all make an appearance in this adorable picture book. Written by Calliope Glass and Caitlin Kennedy and masterfully illustrated by Katie Cook, this is a wonderful pictorial guide to the many creatures seen in the Star Wars films and TV series. Order your copy today on Amazon or Amazon UK.

5-Minute Star Wars Stories Strike Back Aimed at first to third-grade readers, 5-Minute Star Wars Stories Strike Back is a collection of 12 short stories retelling some of the saga’s most memorable scenes, including the action-packed Geonosis arena scene from Attack of the Clones. You can order the book via Amazon or Amazon UK.

Attack of the Clones Junior Novelisation – Patricia C. Wrede’s junior novelisation is a faithful adaptation for older kids and young teenagers. This book is a little hard to find on Amazon UK (which sells mostly second-hand copies of the novel) so your best bet would be to order it via Amazon or another online retailer.

Choose Your Destiny: An Obi-Wan & Anakin Adventure Set before the events of Attack of the Clones, this junior novel lets readers take the helm on Obi-Wan and Anakin’s adventure and allows them to guide the story to one of its twenty possible outcomes. Written by Cavan Scott and beautifully illustrated by Elsa Charretier, this is an ideal gift for fans who want to choose their own path. You can purchase the book over on Amazon or Amazon UK.

Books (Fiction & Non-Fiction)

Attack of the Clones Novelisation – R.A. Salvatore’s novelisation adds considerable depth to Padmé and Anakin’s relationship, delves into each character’s motivations, and gives us some fantastic scenes with characters that didn’t get much screen time in the film (such as Shmi Skywalker). It may be nearly 20 years old now but you can still find some copies over on Amazon or Amazon UK.

The Prequel Trilogy (Omnibus) – Alternatively, why not treat that prequel fan in your life to an omnibus collection of all three prequel novelisations? Order your copy today on Amazon or Amazon UK.

The Star Wars Archives: Episodes I-III, 1999-2005 Paul Duncan’s book may be the priciest item on this list but its exclusive interviews, story boards, on-set photographs, and behind-the-scenes trivia make this 600-page tome an absolute must-have item for fans of the prequel trilogy. You can order it via Amazon, Amazon UK, or direct from the TASCHEN online store.

The Art of Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones One of the most comprehensive reference books written about Attack of the Clones, Mark Cotta Vaz takes readers on a journey through the film’s production process. The book is packed with concept art, storyboards, and first-hand accounts from the artists who worked on the film and even includes a copy of George Lucas and Jonathan Hales’ original screenplay. This book is becoming increasingly hard to track down but you can find a number of new and used copies over on Amazon and Amazon UK.

William Shakespeare’s The Clone Army Attacketh Shakespeare aficionado Ian Doescher reimagines the film as an Elizabethan drama penned by the Bard himself, complete with dramatic soliloquies, rhyming couplets, and stage directions. A perfect novelty gift, especially for the literature students in your life. You can order this quirky retelling over on Amazon and Amazon UK.

The Star Wars Book This 2020 reference book by Pablo Hidalgo, Cole Horton, and Dan Zehr offers an insightful examination of the Star Wars franchise and is jam-packed with infographics, essays, and trivia about the many characters, locations, vehicles, and creatures that populate that galaxy far, far away. This indispensable guide is the perfect gift for Star Wars fans of all ages and can be acquired via Amazon or Amazon UK.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan and Anakin Charles Soule’s mini-series is set between the events of The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones and explores the relationship between Obi-Wan Kenobi and his young apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, as well as Palpatine’s growing interest in the promising Padawan. Star Wars: Age of Republic (Hardcover) – This collection of one-shot stories set in the prequel era offers a little insight into what makes each prequel hero (and villain) tick. Writer Jody Houser explores a number of story points relevant to Attack of the Clones, such as Jango Fett’s decision to accept Lord Tyrannus’ offer and his first bounty-hunting mission with Boba, and Obi-Wan struggling to adjust to his new role as Anakin’s teacher. The story makes frequent references to the events (and characters) of the prequels and is recommended reading for fans of Anakin Skywalker. You can order this trade paperback over on Amazon and Amazon UK.

Art Prints & Interior Decorating

A picture is worth a thousand words, so instead of writing descriptions for each art print, I’ve simply decided to display them visually. If you still haven’t found the prints you are looking for, try running an Etsy search for “Attack of the Clones” or your favourite characters from the film. New prints, postcards, bookmarks, pins, and other collectibles are added to the Etsy database on a regular basis.
