Temuera Morrison Talks Attack of the Clones: “I Just Had So Much Fun”

It’s been nearly twenty years since the notorious bounty hunter and “simple man” Jango Fett made his big screen debut but New Zealand actor Temuera Morrison still has fond memories of his time working with George Lucas on Attack of the Clones. Morrison, who is currently whooping stormtrooper ass on the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian as Jango’s unaltered clone son Boba Fett, was recently interviewed by Dave Itzkoff for The New York Times. In his interview, he talks ... [Continue Reading]

Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures: Yoda vs Count Dooku – Size Matters Not

One of the joys of the Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures micro-series is seeing how the talented animators and artists at the Titmouse animation studio adapt beloved scenes from the Star Wars films for a younger audience. These bite-sized animated shorts are a perfect entry point for children who be too young and rambunctious to sit down and watch a full-length film, and older fans might get a kick out of watching their favourite scenes and duels retold in a new medium. The Obi-Wan Kenobi short ... [Continue Reading]

Attack of the Clones 30-Day Word Association Challenge

Following the success of September’s 30-Day Attack of the Clones Challenge, I decided it would be fun to run another 30-day challenge to honour my favourite Star Wars film. November just so happens to be another 30-day month… and my birthday month to boot! This time around, the challenge will be in the form of a word association game. Starting November 1st, I will tweet out daily prompts on @AllThingsAOTC and participants will be asked to say the first thing that comes to mind when ... [Continue Reading]

Hot Toys Announces Jango Fett Collectible Figure

Jango Fett may have been just a simple man trying to make his way in the universe but the fan-favourite bounty hunter will soon be immortalised as a 1/6th collectible figure. The wily gun-slinger is the latest addition to Hot Toys’ Star Wars collectible series and he’s scheduled to land in our galaxy in early 2022, just in time for the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones.   As you can see, the figure bears a striking resemblance to actor Temuera Morrison, whose face has ... Alex Grey’s ‘Ponchos of Star Wars’ Project

From the simple beige-and-brown sleeveless number worn by Luke Skywalker in A New Hope to the vibrant pink and orange garments of the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the denizens of that galaxy far, far away appreciate a good poncho when they see one. I was browsing the #AttackOfTheClones hashtag on Instagram one afternoon when I stumbled upon Alex Grey’s art project, The Ponchos of Star Wars, and immediately fell in love with his art style. Alex is the lead illustrator for Blue ... [Continue Reading]

The Zodiac Signs as ‘Attack of the Clones’ Characters

Ever wondered which Attack of the Clones character would share your star sign? Not being much of an astrologer myself, I enlisted the help and expertise of a dear Twitter friend, Rae Mueller, and asked her to assign a character to each sign of the zodiac. This list was originally published as a Twitter thread back in September but I decided to adapt it (and expand on it) for this site. Remember, this is all just for fun and open to interpretation, so please keep aggressive negotiations to a ... [Continue Reading]

Review: Attack of the Clones (Little Golden Book)

A couple of months ago, I made the decision to expand my near nonexistent collection of Attack of the Clones merchandise ahead of the film’s 20th anniversary, so I treated myself to a copy of Little Golden Book’s adaptation of my favourite chapter in the Skywalker saga. So, you may be wondering “Would it be a worthy addition to my collection?” or  “Is it something my younglings would enjoy?” Let’s dive in. Writer Christopher Nicholas has done a ... Attack of the Clones 30 Days Challenge

On September 1st, 2020, I will be launching a 30-day Twitter challenge to celebrate one of the most underappreciated entries in the Skywalker saga, Attack of the Clones. If you’ve been following me over on Twitter, you’ll know that the film holds a very special place in my heart and is my personal favourite of the nine saga films, warts and all. We’re fast approaching the twentieth anniversary of this underrated classic, so it’s time to start thinking of fun ways to pay ... [Continue Reading]
